Musical sound pictures are created by an interaction of basic sound, formats, electric quality and acoustic composition. In addition, a highly dynamical impulse should be ensured as a basic criterion of utmost importance, being   the precondition for a vivid   sound picture. The DSS-speaker systems will effectively bring out any style of music such as classical music, jazz, pop and rock in fascinating expressive colours of sound.

The walls of casing, milled out by CNC and afterwards filled up with a special grouting, prevent any kind of self-resonance of the casing. The highly-quality CNC-manufactured aluminium plates at the front and at the rear which in addition are equipped with integrated copper rings also contribute to the extremely low degree of intermodulation. The CNC-manufactured aluminium fronts which are arranged in an inclined manner ensure that the sound picture is concentrated on the centre of the listening position in spite of its impressive dimensional sound.

The damping material used for DSS speakers is high class on its own. Boaform is known as being the most effective damping material of all. The material which we use for our speakers, Viscotan, shows a density of material that is 12 times higher than Boaform and produces in addition significantly higher sound characteristics in the bass, middle low and middle sound spectrum than other common damping materials.  

Unlike many other producers of speakers, DSS does NOT save on using elements of frequency dividing filters. For a maximum production of sound we use the most valuable filter elements arranged for construction in the form of a pyramid and integrated in the inner part of the support (outer-placed filter). The tweeting strip in the inner space of the EXCALIBUR lights up in blue just as the frequency dividing filters in the inner part of the support. Both units may be geared by a separate Potis-illumination. This beautiful illumination provides a relaxing high-class atmosphere during night time.

The tweeting strips unfold in a bipolar manner, i.e. with a front and backwards deflecting surface. For this purpose, a special channel has been manufactured in the inner area of EXCALIBUR which is open at the bottom end and thus ensures a dream   picture of special sound. This speaker system is balanced out by height-adjustable copper spikes which are placed on massive aluminium and copper beds. The individuals speakers may be operated externally via different separate speaker cables as separate pole contacts are provided externally for all speakers.

EXCALIBUR speakers are characterized by an extremely high degree of efficieny and incredible speed. They will enable you to experience a control of sound picture in a completely new manner. The extremely deep adaptation of the casing allows very deep, controlled airy base tones. The middle high tone frequency is a fascinating dream on its own which will not forgive any technical errors of taping of the music producer as any interfering noise of the studio effect appliance will be clearly noted all at once. The listener will feel that he is sitting in front of coaxial speaker and will not be able to perceive the individual chassis. The reason for this is that DSS employs the Intelligent Soft Cat Principle which collects all frequency transgressions harmonically into one.

Different filter characters optimise and neutralize the individual adaptation of the different chassis to the others. This power pair may be operated without any additional subwoofer as an impressively vibrating bass will be freed in the lowest frequency sector if these impulses are found on the sound carrier.   If the front of the EXCALIBUR speakers was covered by a veil, so that the listener was unable to see it, he would, just as many did before, suppose that there was a two meter dimensional box behind the curtain. It is   this fascinating full large basic sound which makes voices sound voluminously that makes this relatively small equipment so different to all others.

Any blurring or distortion factors will be reduced to a minimum thanks to a first-class quality construction, this is the point where DSS enters completely new paths.
